How can S.U.R.E. Parenting help my family?
S.U.R.E. Parenting simplifies all of the research on parenting to help you follow the building blocks that will create calm, connected homes.
Is this book suitable for parents of young kids? What about older children?
Yes, this book covers infancy to adulthood. When you’re talking about healthy relationships, it’s applicable everywhere. However, there is a weight towards younger kids since that’s when most of the questioning occurs.
Why is it “Pay What You Can?”
I want the content available to everyone. I can’t control the production costs of the printed material, but I recorded the audio myself, so I can afford to offer it at the price point that works for you.
Is this another behaviorism book?
No. My focus is on relationships, not behaviorism. Behavior is communication, and as the parents, it’s our job to be curious (one of the building blocks), not assume ill intent. I often offer the reframe, “How can I help them?” instead of “How do I make them?” because it sets us up for collaboration. (another building block!)
